Reader, you’re very much aware of this particular video game, right? Us at SnapThirty have been following it ever since it was announced for Japan, and we’ve been hoping for a Western release ever since. Dragon Ball is one of the most popular Anime of all time in Western regions so most games based on the much-loved series does indeed make it to local shores, but when we’re talking about a strange game like Dragon Ball Fusions it’s always hard to determine whether or not the same can be said for it. If you’re not aware of this game; basically it’s an RPG set in the world of Dragon Ball, with a strong emphasis on “Fusion“, meaning that most characters you will be able to encounter and recruit throughout the story can be fused together. Exciting, right? Heck yeah, it is!
Bandai Namco Entertainment, being such a great company, have done us Western Dragon Ball fans a huge favour by today announcing that they will be localising Dragon Ball Fusions and releasing it in Europe, Middle East and Australasian territories in the February of 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS. That’s fantastic news! Especially because 2017 isn’t too far away…just, like, four months…but who’s counting?! Not me! Not…much. Bandai Namco Entertainment, alongside their announcement, also released a statement detailing the game:
Currently in development at Fukuoka, Japan based Ganbarion Co., Ltd; DRAGON BALL Fusions is the latest Dragon Ball experience to appear on the Nintendo 3DS platform. DRAGON BALL Fusions is an Action-RPG game that combines fighting, customization, and collecting elements to bring theDragon Ball world to life. The game features a huge roster of character appearances stretching across the Dragon Ball anime series and movies. Players will have the opportunity to enter an all new original Dragon Ball story in DRAGON BALL Fusions’ Adventure mode or prove their fighting prowess in Multiplayer Battle mode. DRAGON BALL Fusions also enables players to combine the powers between characters to create endless combinations of powerful characters. Players looking to share their DRAGON BALL Fusions fun will be able to use the Nintendo 3DS’ camera to take pictures with friends and fuse them with Dragon Ball characters or trade special moves with nearby players.
