I feel as though I say this every single time I write an article regarding new Pokemon but; there’s nothing more exciting than such a reveal. The period leading up to the release of a new Pokemon game is perhaps the most thrilling time for fans of the long-running franchise, and such a delightful lead-up to the release has not been changed with the upcoming Sun and Moon. While, up until this point in time, we’ve seen a few fairly interesting new Pokemon, this batch of seven revealed through a Japanese trailer for the game have me, once again, excited for this new generation…that’s not to say I wasn’t excited previously.
Drampa, Togedemaru, Charjabug, Vikavolt, Cutiefly, Bruxish, and Tapukoko are the names of the newly-revealed seven that have just been introduced to the world through this new trailer. A set of Pokemon the likes of which we’ve never seen before, this group features not only a larva that resembles a small bus, a Dragon-type that looks as though it belongs in the film The Neverending Story, and an electric mouse variant, but a strange shape-changing warrior creature that could pass as one of this Generation’s Legendary Pokemon…not that it has been confirmed.
Drampa – Normal/Dragon:
Togedemaru – Electric/Steel:
Charjabug + Vikavolt (Evolution) – Bug/Electric:
Cutiefly – Bug/Fairy:
Bruxish – Water/Psychic:
Tapukoko – Electric/Fairy (Ability: Elec Maker):
Pokemon Sun and Moon will be made available for the Nintendo 3DS worldwide this November. Keep your eyes on the site for when more new Pokemon are revealed, and enjoy the new trailer!
