Bandai Namco Entertainment are super excited for their upcoming JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure title Eyes Of Heaven, and to celebrate it’s almost-release they plan on posting character-specific videos that span the game’s entire roster which, last time I checked, is at least fifty strong. So far the list of names is fairly thick, but it’s only going to get thicker! Before jumping in and catching a glimpse of the latest spotlight characters, why not check out those who came before it: Jonathan Joestar, Robert E.O. Speedwagon, Jotaro Kujo,Okuyasu Nijimura, Bruno Buccellati, Joseph Joestar, Dio Brando, and Gyro Zeppeli.
Today’s featured character is another member of the Joestar family that has a Stand who’s abilities I’m honestly not sure I entirely understand. Josuke Higashikata is the main protagonist of Part IV: Diamond Is Unbreakable, which is a story that follows the lives of three young boys as they hunt down a cereal killer who’s taking countless innocent lives in their small town. His stand, called Crazy Diamond, is much like Star Platinum in the way that it is both fast and strong, but this Pink Floyd reference can do much more than that; it can heal…by punching things.
Josuke has a strange play style that will have players relying on environmental gimmicks a lot more than they would have first thought. One of Crazy Diamond’s multiple ability uses is that it can fix broken environmental features, making them once again available. That mixed with the super strength it possess, and Josuke’s ability to summon a bike which he can tool around the battlefield on, makes this character hard to use but worthwhile learning to play as. Don’t take my word for it though, Bandai Namco Entertainment has got you covered.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes Of Heaven hits the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 across Japan on the 17th of December. Chances are it will be reaching the West sometime after that, we just don’t know when.
