Look, it’s no secret that My Hero Academia (Boku No Hero Academia) is quickly becoming one of the most popular Shonen Jump Mangas of recent times. It features an incredibly detailed story with amazing characters and a protagonist that really puts all other who’ve come before him to shame. The Manga has just earned itself an Anime adaptation to be spearheaded by Studio Bones and now, as it has just been announced in this Week’s Shonen Jump over in Japan, the hit Manga will be getting it’s very own videog game for the Nintendo 3DS. It’s called My Hero Academia: Battle For All and it’s currently in early development stages.
It was only a matter of time before this superhero series got itself a video game and that time will surely be in 2016, though nothing was confirmed by Bandai Namco Entertainment who are publishing the game in Japan. Battle For All is said to be a battle title that will feature most, if not all, of the main characters from the Manga series, giving the player the ability to use and master each and every one of their individual Quirks.
Unfortunately, nothing much has been said regarding the game’s overall design. The screenshots only show main character Midoria in the middle of different techniques, but what they don’t show are other characters or any real indication of how the game is going to be played. Bandai Namco Entertainment have not even revealed who the developer behind the upcoming game is but the assumption is that its Bandai Namco themselves who will be handling development as well as distribution.
Either way, it’s just exciting to know that My Hero Academia is getting a video game! Who knows whether or not it will get a Western release but, judging by just how popular it is outside of Japan, I feel as though it’s only a matter of time before it hits local shores. Until then, we’ll just have to hold out for more news as it is released.
