The latest issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump has just been released over in Japan revealing two more characters set to appear in the next JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fighting title; Eyes Of Heaven. The upcoming video game, which is a spiritual successor to the PlayStation 3’s All-Star Battle, will bring JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure-style action to the PlayStation 4 for the very first time and as a means to win over a new generation of audience members there will be a great deal of additions to both the gameplay mechanics and character roster.
Though connected in absolutely no way, the two latest playable characters to be revealed are Battle Tendency’s Lisa Lisa and Stardust Crusaders’ Pet Shop. One is the mysterious mother of Joseph Joestar, a master of the Ripple and possibly the single greatest female character in the entire series, whereas the other is an intelligent falcon in possession of a ferocious Stand. Like I said…not related in any way.
Not much has been said regarding the move set of these two. As far as a general guess goes; one would assume that Lisa Lisa has a similar fighting style to characters like Joseph Joestar, Caesar Zeppeli, and any other Ripple practitioners. Pet Shop, on the other hand…is a pretty big mystery. It’s small frame and the fact that it is an animal make it very much similar to Iggy but I highly doubt this fast-flying bird of pray will fight like your not-so-average Boston Terrier.
Either way, these two being in the game is making me even more excited for it’s release. As mentioned; one of my favorite characters spanning across the entire JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series is quite possible Lisa Lisa, and one of my favorite fights is between the aforementioned Iggy and the new character Pet Shops.
With no release date announced as of right now, this game is kind of up in the air. What we know is that it is definitely getting a release in the West seeing as it’s predecessor did, and we know that it will be coming to the PlayStation 3 as well as the PlayStation 4. As to when we’ll actually see it hit local shelves, your guess is as good as mine.
