Announced back in April thanks to the high demand for his return, Mother 3’s Lucas will once again return to the battlefield in Nintendo’s latest crossover fighting title Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and the 3DS. Originally making his debut on the Wii as a part of the large character roster for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it seemed as though Lucas was going to be left out of the latest iteration of Nintendo’s smash hit, no pun intended. Fans, once noticing his lack of presence in the new game, went wild demanding that Nintendo bring Lucas back for another round.
Despite never being released outside of Japan, Mother 3 is a much-loved game the world over and it pains fans to see the star of the game not featured in the new roster. Well Nintendo announced only a few days ago that Lucas will be released as DLC for the new game worldwide on the 14th of June. In less than a week players from across the globe will be able to, once again, take on opponents as another PSI-charged youngster. For North America, Lucas’ DLC can be purchased for $3.99 if you just want him for one game or $4.99 if you’d like him for both the Wii U and 3DS versions. Now remember, those are just the North American prices, chances are they will be different for you depending on where in the world you’re reading from.
Being released on the same day as Lucas are a pair of much needed Splatoon Mii costumes that will allow you to dress yourselves up to look like either the Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl or Squid from Nintendo’s latest and greatest IP. While fans are also demanding for actual Inkling characters to be put into the fighting title, Nintendo havn’t said anything regarding new additions but what they’re doing is giving us the next best thing which just so happen to come int he form of costumes. Once again, for North America the costumes will cost $0.75 for one version or $1.15 for both. Reminder: Prices may vary depending on where you’re reading.
The 14th of June is looking to be one hell of an exciting day to jump back into Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and the 3DS so make sure you don’t miss it!
