There’s something so exciting about the open sky. Humans, without the aid of high-powered machinery, have never been able to soar through the vast openness of the sky. We have always dreamed of being able to lift off the ground and, with our own spirit and will, be able to glide through the clouds like birds. At least, I know this of myself. I mean, surely we all think about this time and time again?
People like me turn to things like movies and video games to try and, for just one moment, experience the feeling of free flight and it is games like “Rodea: The Sky Soldier” that really get the feeling right.
NIS America have today announced the official European release date for the upcoming Wii U and 3DS action/adventure game, and it’s coming sooner than we think! September the 25th is the day that this mighty video game will hit shelves and on that day the masses will celebrate. Look, I know September isn’t as close as I made it seem BUT, think about this, with a game of this calibre I image we could have waited a lot longer for it.
1,000 years ago, Emperor Geardo of the Naga Empire sent an army of machine soldiers to invade the sky kingdom of Garuda. Thanks to the efforts of Princess Cecilia and Rodea, a machine soldier who promised to protect Garuda, Emperor Geardo’s assault was thwarted. In present day, a spirited inventor named Ion discovers an abandoned robot that has fallen into disrepair in the heart of a scorching desert.
Upon completing her repairs, the robot stirs to life and reveals itself to be none other than Rodea. Stunned to find himself in the future, Rodea learns that the Naga Empire is no more and that Garuda has known peace for 1,000 years. But this peace was not meant to last, for the forces of Naga have returned to wage war against Garuda. Remembering the promise he made 1,000 years ago, Rodea takes to the skies to defend Garuda from the Naga Empire once again.
