I can guarantee every single time “Super Smash Bros.” is brought up, either around your friends or around strangers that share your love, the eventual release of Mewtwo as a playable character will always be brought up. After months and months of hearing about Mewtwo’s eventual return to the battlefield, it’s through the latest Nintendo Direct Presentation that we finally get some information about it’s release.
Kicking off the presentation in a huge way was a video of Mewtwo in all of its “Super Smash Bros.” glory followed up by the official announcement of it’s release date. You wont be waiting very long to play as Mewtwo because, come the 29th of April, it’ll be released for everyone to enjoy with those of you who purchased both the Wii U and 3DS version of the game getting your download codes on the 15th.
This piece of information was very vague because it could be taken in a couple of ways: Either you’re given the code on the 15th to be used on the 29th or you’re made eligible to download the character on the date you get the code. That much is fairly unkknown but until Nintendo clarify or until the 15th comes around and some side of the story is confirmed you’ll just have to revel in the fact that Mewtwo will indeed be playable by the end of the month.
Also announced alongside its release is that of an Amiibo that wasn’t shown but was assured to be released sometime in the near future alongside that of “Mother 3’s” Lucas, so keep an eye out for that! Stick around for heaps more news from the April Nintendo Direct Presentation.
