“Naruto” is done. Yes, that’s it. It is over forever and you’ll never see any more “Naruto” content. That’s just something you’ll have to deal with. Forever. No “Naruto” stuff. “Naruto” is dead and gone. No…it’s not. The franchise is still going strong and even though the Manga has now officially ended there’s still so much more of “Naruto” to come, making it a series that will truly never die. Not that people want it to. “The Last: Naruto The Movie” started showing in Japanese theatres last weekend and has met quite an awe-inspiring critical and financial reception.

There’s still a Manga series to come regarding the next generation of Ninja from the series and, only announced today, there’s a brand-new game on the way but this time it’ll be getting a release on a “next gen” console…the PlayStation 4. So, as you can see, there’s no real lack of “Naruto” in the world right now. In fact, I think there’s probably so much more circulating now thanks to the Manga ending than there ever was, but that’s just my humble opinion. With “Naruto’s” popularity spiking even higher to a level I never thought attainable, right now is the perfect time to announce a new game for the series and Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump have got that very much covered.

A new scan flying around the web from the upcoming magazine release shows the new game through a couple of small screenshots and some very good-looking art of both Naruto and Sasuke during the war period that the series ended on. The game will get a release sometime next year, though no specific date was detailed, and will feature the more “mature” Naruto shown in “The Last: Naruto The Movie” as a playable character as well as every new version of the main cast that appeared at the end of the Manga.

This means Sasuke will have BOTH of his crazy, cool, super powerful, Ninja eyes and Naruto will be able to transcend his already unbeatable Sage Mode and become something even more devastating. I’m also sure the others will get some new costumes or techniques though none really stand up to the Shonen power of the rival duo. Despite not having a solid release date as of yet, the game will be shown in about a week or so at Jump Festa 2015 in Japan so expect a whole bunch of new information to come out of that. I’d say start getting ready for one huge “Naruto” video game release because I can imagine “Ultimate Ninja 4” is going to be the “Naruto” game to end all “Naruto” games…though I don’t think it’ll be the last “Naruto” game we’ll see.

  1. At least this will finally be the last so CyberConnect2 can work on something else, feel like they are getting strangled creatively by doing the same series all the time.

Yeah you’re not wrong dood but I really don’t think this’ll be the last one we see. Something inside of me is telling me this series will go on for infinity :P

I get what you’re saying though, I would like to see another “Asura’s Wrath” or something like that. Something different. Something that is maybe…not Naruto…

      • They really need to go back and see if they can’t clean up what they had in Asura with a sequel, don’t let decent ideas be lost to time.

I’d also like to see them work on some other Anime games as well. I know they’ve done it a lot but I still think they should let Naruto go and focus on maybe something not yet so established. I know that’s not a good move for a developer but it’d still be nice to see.

      • They have a good track record of both licensed and original games, I think they have the means to even make something less established work and sell.

Once again, you hit the nail on the head. I think the only way they will move on is when people stop buying “Naruto” games and we know that’ll never happen.
