While I was always fairly excited to get my hands on the upcoming “One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3” game, I’ve never been more excited than I am right now thanks to this! Fans of the series, both Anime and Manga, will know that the hero of the story, Luffy, has two adoptive brothers; Ace and Sabo. Those not too invested in the series may know who Ace is because he’s in every single piece of “One Piece” media but they may not know who Sabo is. Those up do date with the story will know who this mysterious young man is and also just how damn awesome he can be…especially in a fight.
Recently re-introduced into the main story as a man once thought dead, Sabo comes to the aid of his brothers, both dead and alive, as the Chief of the Revolutionary Army; a title he will wear well in the upcoming “Pirate Warriors” game seeing as he’s going to be in it as a playable character. As of right now, all we have are words meaning that there are no visuals of the Chief in action so we don’t exactly know how they’re going to show him. I, of course, only say this because when he reappeared in more recent times he was in disguise. Sabo hits the battlefield with a whole bunch of assumed but not yet confirmed characters from the series but, the way I see it; if Sabo is getting his time to shine, so will a lot of the others.
Also detailed by game developers Omega Force is a new battle mechanic called “Kizuna Rush” which basically has two characters partnering up for a devastating attack much like what was seen in the less popular “One Piece” title “Unlimited World Red”. “Pirate Warriors 3” is looking to be one hell of a good game that will justify the creation and release of another “Warriors” title. “One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3” will be getting a release sometime next year in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and in the West hopefully sometime close after that.
