There’s nothing more powerful than the friendship shared between two or more people. It’s a fact! Every single kids television show has proven to me that without friendship nothing can be accomplished. This is why Killia, the main character of NIS’ upcoming “Disgaea 5” tactical RPG, will accomplish all the goals he sets out for himself. It’s all because of the friends he keeps. Here’s the story of the game so far: Void Dark is a super evil Demon Lord that plans on conquering the entire Netherworld but there are a bunch of other Demon Lords who don’t necessarily want that because, well…this guy is SUPER evil.
Killia, the shirtless main character, has some pretty deep beef with Void Dark and has decided to rise up against him. Unfortunately Killia isn’t strong enough to do it on his own so he sets off on a journey around the Netherworld recruiting other Demon Lords who also don’t like the idea of Void Dark being in total control. This is where Christo and Zeroken come in. In past press releases we’ve met the Demon Lords Seraphine, Usalia and Red Magnus, well now we’re going to meet two more.
Christo – The Tactician
Christo is a highly intelligent young demon who first takes notice of Killia when seeing him decimate on the battlefield. Realising he has a great deal of destructive potential, Christo actually confronts Killia and not the other way around. The tactician believes he can somewhat control Killia and have him kill Void Dark with the battle potential hidden inside of him. Christo joins Killia on those grounds but, as the game goes on, changes his views of our young antagonist as well as his overall plans.
Zeroken – The Legendary Disciple
After fighting against a dark army known as Lost, Killia and Zeroken take quite an interest in each other. Both recognize the others’ mighty power and Zeroken decides to join Killia’s little crew. A bit of a cocky brat, this young demon calls himself the disciple of the legendary Fist Goldeon who’s gone down in history as being one of the most powerful demons of all time. Zeroken is a rowdy guy but has a great level of respect for those who have earned it. His main goal is to defeat the entire “Lost” army but has no problem with taking down a tyrant on the way so he joins the team to help out.
Alongside these two new characters, Nippon Ichi Software have also released images for some of the new classes that will appear in “Disgaea 5”. The Dark Knight, Maid and Fairy will be just three of the new additions for the game but I’m sure we’ll be seeing more as the release date gets closer. “Disgaea 5” is set for a release on the PlayStation 4 in Japan on the 26th of March, 2015. No word on a Western release date has been revealed as of yet but the educated assumption is that it will be hitting local shores eventually seeing as each of the previous “Disgaea” titles have done the same.
