It’s not just us, the readers and watchers, who’re saying our farewells to the long-running Shonen series “Naruto”. We’ve read it, we’ve watched it, we’ve experienced all of it but we’re not the only ones. “Naruto” being part of the “Shonen Jump” lineup for many years, you can imagine that the man behind the series Masashi Kishimoto would have gotten very comfortable with his brothers and sisters in arms at Shonen Jump. It is them too that will now mourn the end of a series that has been, according to most readers, at the top of its game for a very long time.
We’ve said our part, we’ve critiqued the end, we’ve seen what we’ve needed to see and now it is time for those behind the pages to comment on the end of what was one of the most inspiring contemporary Mangas. The latest issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump features a small but powerful list of comments made by other Shonen Jump Mangakas regarding the end of “Naruto”. They say their goodbyes, they wish Kishimoto the best and they shed a little bit of light on just how much the series has meant to them. It’s heart warming words at their finest and they’re as follows:
Masashi Kisimoto – Naruto
