Akibas-Trip-Undead-And-Undressed-Screenshot-08You’re not quite the man you used to be. Lured into a strange, underground, stronghold by promises of rare collectible items, you (the main character) find yourself in quite an odd but ultimately exciting situation. Transformed by the vampire-like race of humanoid creatures called Synthisters, you’re no longer the human you and your friends once thought you were. No, not at all. Instead, you’re now a true Freedom Fighter who must take on an army of pure darkness who’re threatening to envelop Japan’s ‘electirc town’…Akihabara.

Much anticipated by the hardcore Otakus out there, ‘Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed’ is a new action/RPG by video game developers Acquire that boasts both ‘epicness’ and hilarity. Why am I telling you this exactly? Well, because it is today that the game has been made available across Australia and New Zealand but only in its physical form, those of you wanting a digital copy will have to wait another week.

Yes it is true; ‘Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed’ for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita has finally made it to local shores and event though we’re the last in the world to get it…we’re still happy it’s here! What are you waiting for? Stop reading this and go buy the damn game! It’s awesome, trust me, I reviewed it…Click Here to read all about it.

AKIBA’S TRIP: Undead & Undressed is an open-world action RPG in which players undertake numerous missions in a virtual recreation of Akihabara, Tokyo’s popular ”Electric Town” district. The player’s goal is to identify vampires called “Synthisters” with the help of an in-game smartphone app, then engage them in battle to strip their clothes off so their bodies are fully exposed to sunlight. Boasting a unique combat system in which everyday objects become weapons, multiple story routes, a varied cast of characters based on common anime and video game tropes and a narrative dripping with social satire and subtle nods to Japanese pop culture, AKIBA’S TRIP is a present-day supernatural adventure for the gamer in all of us. – NIS America
