Barely a week after the release of ‘Super Smash Bros. For The 3DS’, a game that was met with what I’d consider global elation, Nintendo have announced the official release dates for the upcoming console version of the game which has been similarly titled ‘Super Smash Bros. For The Wii U’. Featuring high definition graphics and certain exclusives not featured in the 3DS version of the game, ‘Super Smash Bros. For The Wii U’ is arguably one of this years most anticipated Wii U titles and it’ll be hitting local shelves around the world before the end of the year.
North America will be getting the Wii U version first on the 21st of November with Europe and Japan getting it on the 5th and 6th of December respectively. What makes this announcement even better is that Nintendo also gave the world some information regarding regional bundles that can be purchased. North American gamers can purchase ‘SSB’ in a bundle that comes with a Gamecube controller and an adapter. European gamers can purchase two different bundles: One that comes with a Mario Amiibo or one that comes with a Gamecube controller adapter. Neither comes with a Gamecube controller. Be sure to remember that.
Japan will be getting their Amiibos on the same day that the game is released. The rest of the world, however, will be getting these game-compatible figurines in two waves: The Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby and Marth Amiibos will be made available in North America and in Europe on the 21st and 28th of November respectively. The second wave, which includes the Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit and Captain Falcon Amiibos, will be made available in December. Prices of both the game itself and the Amiibos is region specific so you’ll just have to check with your local video game retailer.
