Look, reader, I don’t want to sound too egotistical but…I called it! Though, let’s be honest, I’m pretty sure we all though the same thing. A while ago, at this point in time, the upcoming ‘Dragon Ball: XENOVERSE’ video game title was announced by Bandai Namco and featured a character of which no ‘Dragon Ball Z’ fan has ever seen before. Looking like a Saiyan and being ‘front and center’ for most of the game’s publicity, fans automatically began to believe that this particular Toriyama-esque creation is none other than the main character of the upcoming game.
Something else I imaging many fans started thinking was that this character will actually be a digital representation of yourself that will be thrown into the battles of ‘Dragon Ball’ history so that you may be able to experience the life of a ‘Z Fighter’, somewhat, first hand. Well Bandai Namco Games have come out today and confirmed everything we’ve been thinking for the past couple of months by announcing that this ‘Mysterious Character’ IS exactly that: A customizable representation of the player.
Released alongside this information are a whole bunch of new screenshots and character assets that show just how much variation there is in regards to making the character you’ve always dreamed of. You won’t just be allowed to create a human-like Saiyan, a few of the fighting races present within the series can be created and customized in any way you see fit.
The world is yours now so grab it with both hands and destroy it with an odd-coloured Kamehameha…you can probably do that seeing as you’re now the most powerful fighter in the universe! ‘Dragon Ball: XENOVERSE’ is set for a release on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 sometime in 2015 and is currently still in development.
