JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Manga News From Anime Expo 2014 [UPDATE]

“Oh my God!”, Anime Expo 2014 is on right now over in Los Angeles and straight from the Viz Media panel comes news that will surely have JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fans all across the West screaming “happy scrappy”! The American publisher has just announced that it has acquired the rights to publish the second part of the ‘JJBA’ Manga series, ‘Battle Tendency’, throughout North America which means, in turn, the Manga will eventually make it’s way down here to Australia. Oh yeah!

It wasn’t too long ago that Viz acquired the rights to redistribute the ‘Stardust Crusaders’ Manga but they’ve rounded out their collection now that the first three parts of the long-running Shonen series’ licenses have been acquired and they’re all ready to make their way into the households of American readers. ‘Phantom Blood’ will hit local book store shelves in omnibus edition with it being released in three volumes. Part three, ‘Stardust Crusaders’, will begin to be digitally distributed this weekend through the official Viz Media site.

For those of you who aren’t exactly into physical Manga copies, the first two parts will also be released digitally so you can have the whole series stored somewhere nice and neat where it will never get wrecked…unless your device gets attacked by some sort of Manga-seeking virus. Oh no, what a world to live in where such things can happen! The ‘JJBA’ Manga release schedule is actually a little confusing so it’s best to keep an eye out on the Viz Media site as well as right here on SnapThirty where we will cover every update.

Release Schedule:

Part One ‘Phantom Blood’: Digitally, September. In print, February 2015.

Part Two ‘Battle Tendency’: Digitally, March 2015

Part Three ‘Stardust Crusaders’: Digitally, available now with new volumes being released weekly.

UPDATE: VIZ Media has confirmed that Part Two ‘Battle Tendency’ WILL be getting a print release in the Autumn/Fall of 2015.
